Traditional Tuesday's and #noexcuses

This year, I decided that I am going to stick to one new years resolution, which is clever and it encompasses every aspect of my life almost. 2015 is the year of no excuses. I may not make an excuse. I repeat, I may not MAKE UP an excuse.

Lets talk about how this all started: It was a Tuesday sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I was at Buffalo Wild Wings with some friends for what we now call "Traditional Tuesday". Traditional Tuesday is like cheap therapy. Wings, salt and vinegar fries, friends, there's always a game on, I mean heaven is going to be a lot like Buffalo Wild Wings. I love it. My Friends CJ and Robert, who are more like my little brothers talked about working out. A small spark has now inspired a very well thought out work out plan which now includes the "the lazy sweater". We challenged each other to work out every day, eat right, not make an excuse and be encouraging. We have rules, we are accountable to each other, and its the most fun I've had in a long time.

Here are the rules:
1) Tuesday is our off day of counting calories. (otherwise, traditional tuesday's would then suck)
2) Sunday is the day of rest. You are not required to work out.
3) You must keep a count of your calories consumed in an app of some sort, and be honest
4) You must work out for a minimum of 20 minutes Monday-Saturday.
5)You must post a picture of you working out to the facebook feed provided when you workout.
6) You must attend Traditional Tuesday.

If you fail to do so, you get to wear the sweater. It's 2XL it's bright yellow and it says in giant letters "I'M LAZY"

Rules for the sweater:
1) If more than one of you have to wear the sweater, then you must give the sweater to the other person within that week.
2)You must wear the sweater all day long and answer questions about the sweater, and take at least one picture in a public place wearing the sweater.
3) You must also work out in the sweater.
4) Sweater must return clean for new owner of the lazy sweater.

I have learned a few things. Getting up and working out is becoming easier. The workout still suck, and 5:30 comes early, but we've got this. I have yet to ever succeed with a weight loss plan, so I am trying everything in my power to make this work.

Most important thing I have learned in this week and a half- Will Power. I have got to set my mind to this and do this with all that I have, or I'm not going to get anywhere. I'm thankful for the people on my team who encourage me to get going and do great things. I'm proud to support them, but they are even better at supporting me! A week and a half sounds like the shortest amount of time ever, but for me, it's the longest I have stuck with a weight loss plan.

My encouragement to you is to not look for an excuse!! One is always going to be there. ALLLWAAAYS! Get the my fitness pal app and start calculating how much you eat. It's AMAZING how many calories you eat that you just aren't aware of. Don't knock out everything. I still drink coffee, I still have a Diet Coke once a day. Eat your elephant one bite at a time.

I can't wait to share our progress!!! I can't wait to see where we are in a few months from now. I'm excited to see how this works out, and I'm excited to see that this won't fizzle after a week or so.

#noexcuses. make that your own goal for 2015!!
